I read Robredo and his partner won in Auckland, thats a great job. Doubles is tough to win a tournament.
This article mentions how tough the men’s doubles field is at Aussie Open, but it looks like Robredo has a better draw in doubles than singles. Fish is a tough opponent to play in 2nd round.
Does anyone know if they are showing any doubles on tv or live streaming at Aussie Open?

Hopefully Robredo can change up the match against Fish.
It looks like Fish is playing hardcourt tennis and Robredo clay court. I noticed last year when Robredo was playing Nalbandian the same situation, Nalbandian was stepping in and controlling the match and Robredo was way behind the baseline.

Although last year Robredo had good wins against Murray and Marcos Baghdatis and Robredo really came forward and played an all court game and won so hopefully he changes things up soon!

  12. krissie Says:

    Enhorabuena!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

  13. tennisfanwest Says:

Oh thats a good win. Its good to be wrong in this situation. I thought Fish would win this match so its nice to see Robredo win this match. Its great to see Robredo really excited in his tennis, which seemed to be the case in this match.

A great volley Robredo hit in the second to last point of the match!

Looks like a winable next match in singles for Robredo if he plays this level again.

  14. Joanna Says:

    Tommy,
What a great match! You took control and it was awesome to watch! Loved the point right before match point where you were able to volley and get the winner! Really excited for you and I like your chances in the next round too! Sending cheers your way.

Tommy would make a great dad one day and have good genes for children.

Being on tour takes alot of time and smart pros wait til they retire to focus on family and other work.
Besides does anyone know if Tommy has found that perfect person yet? Proposed? Given a ring? Hard to believe things on internet. One photo had Tommy walking down the aisle at an espresso function.

Here is a good article for parenting.

  34. CircleR Says:

“he found the Arabian he imagined in his dreams, he watched and waited and with great skill he slowly began a mastery of such a beautiful horse, he observed and sought not to break the spirit of the mare but to build an unbreakable bond of trust, respect and love, with great care his devotions began to provide him with ownership of such a horse,
with no hits, no pain, he crept into the mind, soul and spirit of the horse,
patiently he guided during early phases,
he didn’t encroach too quickly into the corral, or exert too much force,
    slowly the horse relaxed,
yet he knew he had much time ahead before he could be the first to truly mount and ride what he had claimed as his own”

  35. CircleR Says:

“for this master was enormously excited to find and began the process, his burning desire to be the first to put a bit in this creatures mouth, yet he knew such a process would take time, and patience, because this beautiful animal had never taken a bit,

he was prepared to use the skill, patience to ensure a smooth fit of his bit into the horse’s mouth, this he wanted to accomplish first before the harness and ride”

  36. CircleR Says:

“both their cultures respected tradition which called for him to wait before riding until the blessings by the elders of the binding of horse to rider,
it wasn’t easy, it was a challenge for which he knew he must adhere and respect,
many training sessions, walks, interactions took place between master ,and his horse,
all the training done before even the first ride,
all this done before even the first competition,
the hunter goal was to ride in glory and claim the major tribal competition,
    competed on red soil,
to prove who of this hunt was the greatest”

  37. CircleR Says:

“the horse was a natural in most any endeavor including runs, endurances, agility, stamina, intelligence and looks, perhaps
high strung and resisting the urge to follow the pack, this horse stood out
a few attempts had been made to ride this horse but it rejected them, and stood alone unbranded, unbridled, and never having taken a bit or swallowed oats from any master

thus this horse was nervous in these areas where it had no experience,
the hunter instinctively understood this creature,
and was anxious to begin teaching this horse to serve only him, take only his harness, saddle, bit and oats/grass

yet patience was the hallmark in order to establish a stronger link and trust,
the horse had a few attacks by unsavory humans, who left the horse with mistrust and weariness of humans especially hunters who wished to claim him, although the horse had a yearning to find a home and true master–both things eluded this marvelous creature

at rare spotings of relaxation the hunter was able to observe the horse as it watered and rested by pools of fresh water,
the hunter sighed and longed immensely for this wild, untamed, independent creature

because the hunter knew he could master this animal, and it would help him achieve the prize in the big hunt, and the hunter knew the horse would relish victory perhaps even more than him

for this horse when the herd took off was always in front, always wanting to be the faster, smartest of the herd, although it kept its distance from the small other horses in the pack, this horse enjoyed sensing the other horses were around and close enough

so now the hunter began to devise his plan on how to bring in the horse and make it his alone to ride”

  38. CircleR Says:

“the hunter was concerned about the well being of the horse he craved so much,
he wanted to know the horse was meant to be taken by a person or left to roam the earth without a master other than the Creator’s care,
thus the wise man was summoned to seek into the heart and soul of this remarkable creature,

a circle was created with smoke sent to invade the hidden depths of the animals desire, what was seen was startling,

for as much as the horse roamed almost of a wild nature, deep within it spirit longed for a true master to serve and help,
lonely for a master to beckon to, this horse wanted more than a mere pack, this horse wanted to be rode, harnessed and branded

yet it waited til the rare and special master came along who could truly understand how best to do so,

the horse craved for direction on where to run, which hunt to take part in, where to feed, a true master rider to carry to glory,
thus the horse would not loose by taking a master but given direction and control to its wild spirit and untamed ways,

the hunter was immensely pleased for he wanted a horse that sought victory as much as he did, and together this hunter knew they could accomplish amazing feats and wins,

the hunter left this circle of knowledge with reassurance he could help guide this animal to the glory it sought and enable it to be a part of the win he wished to claim,

the hunters thoughts after claiming this animal, was of course to the annual battle this hunter he desired in his dreams, the title he coveted, to see who was the true champion on soil of red and dirt of clay”

“the consort knew the Head of House rested with the King and his decision decided issues so that no argument arose, although the King relied inherently upon the wisdom of consort due to connections from above

yet as a family unit on a day to day basis, the King was head of the house which provided stability and structure

it honored what was written, the consort would respect and love the King
    The consort put
    GOD
    King and partner
    King’s heirs and children

as the three most important things and ahead of own being, for these 3 things meant giving life to love, honor, respect and protect

  44. Consortwaits Says:

“The consort waited, and waited and would wait an eternally for the King to appear

For now the consort needed the reassurance of looking into the Kings eyes and seeing how he viewed the consort

The consort would be looking for truth, honesty, love, affection but also reassurance that this King could provide love and protection thru the dangers they would face

The King had men, who accomplished the King’s objectives, which was to be needed especially upon adding a consort and eventually a family

Yet for this first true encounter the consort needed to see the King was ready to be not only King in general but her King, the head of the house and ruler of their Kingdom

Granted this would be a partnership and often times the consort would be guided from above and the King simply let this holy actions happen
Yet in many matters the consort wanted a true head of the house and decision maker in this union, a King who could and would protect and provide for the family”
